  • A lot of internet discourse these days gives off the vibe of people who had disliked or hated someone or something popular, but either didn’t have a specific/generalized reason or that person/thing was associated with something very positive or even they didn’t want to come across a very certain way for their hate, but then something new happens and all these people pile on with “oh I’ve always hated them/that, they’ve/it’s been awful for so long!” and then dragging out as many receipts as they can find (whether they’re factual or faked, or if they’ve been forgiven before, or whatever).

And then, if that person apologies/the thing gets fixed or the creator makes a statement addressing the issue, it doesn’t even matter anymore because now these people have a whole bubble of others around them who either feel the same way they do continuing to spread all these “receipts” to try and keep other people from accepting the response and to convince others the thing/person is still bad, whether they actually are or not. It’s this whole vibe of waiting for a reason to go to war, and then continuing to slaughter your perceived enemies even as they wave the flag of surrender.

What’s even more is that, when these people who hate the person/thing rise up like this, it makes people who really like that person/thing get upset and sometimes will fight back the exact same way, whether the person/thing is good or bad or whatever. It’s not healthy on either side of this mess, and anyone who’s in the middle gets attacked on both sides until they all basically either pick a side or try and avoid the whole thing entirely. Not everything has to be one big showdown with a bulleted list of every terrible thing involved in the discourse, and attacking anyone who has a different opinion than you over something always has consequences, good or bad.

TL:DR — You don’t need some ground-breaking reason to hate someone/something in a socially acceptable way. Likewise, you can enjoy bad people/things while still acknowledging the bad stuff. Trying to force others to your side on those matters makes you just as bad, in the end.

Take a chill pill. Pet a dog/cat/other animal. Go outside and get off the internet for a little while.

#just my thoughts lately on a lot of things  #im not mentally in a great space rn tho  #so I'll ignore any arguments anyone tries to have with me on this  #if ignoring makes you try harder to argue ill block you  #i have a right to make this space good for me and my health

It’s kinda taken me forever to realise this, but now I am a little obsessed with the fact that they repurposed this unused concept art of possible Huntr/x performance outfits into the clothes they wore when they debuted.

That’s just such a stroke of genius right there.

One thing I think the Hazbin community would Not Love about me is I think Husk calling Angel “kid” is actually really cute. Not cause I see it as an age gap ship but because “kid” was a real pet name in the 50s-60s, kinda like “babe”, and I think it’s a fun bit of characterization but when I try to use it people lose their minds

Internationally acclaimed band Huntrix makes incredible come-back by publicly executing the Saja Boys.

The thing about Krypto in the new Superman movie is that he’s a bad dog. He’s a good boy, he’s such a good boy, he’s the goodest boy ever, but he’s a bad dog.

He achieves this apparent paradox by being loyal and loving but also being smart enough to know how to be a good dog and simply declining the option. He could be a good boy and follow commands any time he wants, he just doesn’t want to.

Good Boy by nature, Bad Dog by choice.
